The Civil Liability (Third Party Claims Against Insurers) Act 2017 No. 19 (NSW) was assented to on 1 June 2017 and amends the Law Reform (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1946 No. 33 (NSW).

The object of the Act is to give effect to the recommendations of the NSW Law Reform Commission in Report 143: Third party claims on insurance money addressing the issues arising out of the Bridgecorp and related cases.
