On 25 February 2016, the Senate referred the provisions of the Corporations Amendment (Life Insurance Remuneration Arrangements) Bill 2016 to the Economics Legislation Committee for inquiry and report by 15 March 2016.
The Committee has released its report and is of the view that the bill contains provisions designed to ensure that consumers can access unbiased and appropriate advice when considering purchasing life insurance and recommends the bill be passed.
